Welcome to Look Thursday! Today I used my Makeup Geek Ultimate Palette to put together a look perfect for Christmas.
Since I spend Christmas with my family, I wanted to do something a little more subtle than the sparkly traditional gold, red and/or greens looks that are normally used to represent this holiday. So I decided to go with purples on my lid and nude lips. I did add just a bit of sparkle to my inner corner (hey, it is Christmas after all) and used Milani’s Black Vinyl liner to spice it up a bit.
For this look I used:
Eyes: Makeup Geek eye shadows in Beaches and Cream, Cocoa Bear, Prom Night, Unexpected, Sensuous, Drama Queen, Wet n’ Wild Fergie eye shadow primer in (), Milani liquid liner in Black Vinyl, Urban Decay 24/7 Eye pencil in Zero, Wet n’ Wild Megalength waterproof mascara
Brows: Jordana eye brown pencil in Dark Brown
Face: Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer (check out my review here), MAC Matchmaster Foundation shade 7.5, L.A. Girl Pro.conceal HD concealer in Fawn, Rudy Kisses mineral powder in Chestnut, Black Radiance pressed powder in Rich Mahogany as a light contour, Iman Sheer Finish bronzing powder in Afterglow as a highlight, and e.l.f. cosmetics makeup setting spray
Lips: Nyx lip primer in Deep Nude, Nyx lip pencil in Chestnut, and Wet n’ Wild LE matte lipstick in Sweet Cream
I hope you have a wonderful and happy holiday season!
One of the final pieces from the Fergie Centerstage Collection that I will be reviewing is one of the to reflect shimmer palettes. The palette I purchased is Carnaval in Rio. I really love this as a subtle golden highlight.
In the pan, Carnaval in Rio is a peach color with gold veining. I found it to leave a beautiful gold sheen on my face that is truly noticeable when the light hits it so that I shimmer and not shine! Because of its subtleness, I found the swatch difficult to photograph, but my efforts are below.
Hello Beauties! Today I am reviewing one of the eyeshadow palettes from Wet n Wild’s Fergie Centerstage Collection. I picked up two eyeshadow palettes, three lipsticks, the eyeshadow primer, and one of the shimmer palettes. I usually review products of the same collection all together, but I wanted to give each item the attention that it deserves.
Each Fergie Centerstage Eyeshadow palette contains five colors. The Dutchess Lounge palette contains a matte purple, a silver, a black with purple glitter, a black with silver glitter, and a deep brownish purple color with multi colored glitter.
Over all, this palette was disappointing. It is definitely not of the same quality that I have come to know and expect from Wet n Wild products. I had to layer the purple on in order for it to show. When using the glittery shadows, I ended up with very little glitter on my eyelid and tons of glitter on my face. The most disappointing color of the palette was the completely sheer silver. Ultimately, I suggest that you leave this palette at the store!
Despite its dismal performance, I managed to put together a look using the purple and black with purple glitter and a few other products from the collection.
First let me say, I am absolutely in love with Milani Products! The newest product that I have tried is the Secret Cover Concealer Cream. I first have to commend Milani on having a nice range of brown girl friendly shades. I picked up the product in the four darkest shades: 03 Honey, 04 Tan, 05 Deep Tan, and 06 Warm Cocoa. This is definitely a creamy full coverage concealer. I like to scoop a little out and apply this product with my fingers. Honey is perfect in concealing my dark under eye circles! This has become one of my go to products. If you are looking for a full coverage creamy concealer, this is a must try!
Last year when the Milani Paint Palette first came out, I was wondering why everyone was making such a big fuss about it, and I didn’t get it when i had the chance. I know what stopped me from buying it…I needed to know that this product was indeed brown girl friendly. I saw a few reviews on YouTube, but when I had the chance to check them out for myself this time I decided to. I figured if I didn’t like them I could always pass them on to a friend or family member. Well, it turns out that I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these palettes (especially Abstract)!!!
